  23.             the icon scale in an overview will no longer cause the

  29.             searchbook to avoid crashing when it encounters self-
  30.             referential symbolic links that would otherwise cause

  34.           +o The file manager (ffffmmmm) responds properly to down NFS
  35.             mounts without hanging.  This allows other fm windows
  36.             to continue to update and respond to user actions when
  37.             an fm window on a downed NFS server cannot. (Bug

  41.           +o If both file manager (ffffmmmm) and imdmonitor were running
  42.             at the same time when the file alteration monitor (ffffaaaammmm)
  43.             crashed, then imdmonitor used to go into a tight loop

  48.           +o To improve default system security, SGI systems now
  49.             ship with remote display disabled.  After upgrading to
  50.             IRIX 6.5, desktop users who want to be able to run an
  51.             application on a remote system but display the
  52.             application's windows on the local screen should select
  53.             Desktop > Customize > Desktop from the toolchest and
  54.             check the Enable Remote Display toggle.  For more

  98.             fm window to another fm window or to the desktop
  99.             background will create a copy of the file. (Bug 487429)

  102.           +o The /_v_a_r/_X_1_1/_x_d_m/_X_s_e_s_s_i_o_n._d_t script now displays
  103.             messages in the language specified by LC_MESSAGES as
  104.             returned by the _l_o_c_a_l_e(_1) command.  Also, if the user
  105.             has their own ._x_s_e_s_s_i_o_n file, it will be executed in
  106.             the language specified by the LANG environment

  110.           +o A Desks Overview crash has been fixed.  The application
  111.             is now also run-once, meaning that attempts to run it a
  112.             second time while it is already running will have the
  113.             effect of deiconifying the _o_v(_1) window and popping it
  114.             to the top.  The ----nnnneeeewwww option can be used to create a
  115.             new instance. (Bugs 495469, 564691)

  118.           +o If using the Desktop > Access Files > By Remote Login
  119.             panel and the remote system hangs, the Access Desktop
  120.             panel now does not itself hang so its "Connecting..."
